Finally.....Final.....

At last.... after 16 long week's here are the photos of my final designs for HND Textile Art..
A wool/viscose mix dress embellished with tea bags!!!

Shorts and top made from scraps of fabric, binding of gingham hand made with the help of a fab little gadget called a 'Bias Binding Maker', corsage made with a latch hook...

Heavy crepe backed silk, quilted with pearls and lined in Baby pink, this Gillet is shaped at the hem line giving a 'High Fashion' look to an old design.

Based on Roman Gladiators, this dress is embellished with panels of Vylene dyed with Batik and treated with 'discharge paste' organza was used as an overlay. The dress was then hand beaded and stitched.

Back view of Trapeze dress....envelope bag made from scrap buckram  and tea bags......

Wool/Viscose shell with an overlay of cotton organdie.....shaped at the hem line to give an 'egg shape'. check back earlier in the year on blog for photos of construction....

Gyotaku.........

Desperately searching for something original to include in my HNC Graded Unit, I discovered the art of Japanese Fish Painting or Gyotaku to give it its proper title. These prints were done on cotton with an overlay of cotton organza, I added a little simple stitch work. I was so happy with the results that now I'm hooked (no pun intended...).
